This year, we are introducing a new format, where we will be inviting key note speakers on a range of perspectives from history to arts & media to politics & society to technology & business. Confirmed speakers to date include historian Professor Jane Ohlmeyer of Trinity College Dublin, journalist Mick Clifford, Minister of State, Michael Healy Rae and businessman Denis O Brien. Each of the presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with 4 of Ireland’s future leaders, all in their 30’s, the same age as Cyrus Field, the entrepreneur who transformed the world when he led the transatlantic cable project in the late 1800s. Over 30 of these young leaders will be invited from the world of business, politics, academia, media, government, arts and sport in which they will be asked to reflect on the Ireland of today and to share their vision for Ireland in 2040 and its place in a globally interconnected world.
