11 11 people viewed this event.

On Friday July 19th we look forward to hosting the 8th Valentia Lecture which this year will address the topic

“Transatlantic Relations – a beacon in a turbulent world “.

We are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Senator Jerry Buttimer and Mr Billy Kelleher, MEP, who will deliver key note presentations on this topic.

Also this year, in the spirit of Cyrus Field, we are including a panel discussion with Ireland’s future leaders in enterprise, politics, academia and sport in which they will be asked to reflect on the Ireland of today and to share their vision for Ireland in 2040 and its place in a globally interconnected world.

This year we will again be hosting an online “link-up” with Hearts Content in Newfoundland Canada, which will feature a greeting from each country’s Ambassadors.

Once again, the lecture will be held in the historic Cable Station in Knightstown in Co Kerry, starting at 1pm and will be followed by a gala dinner at 8pm that evening at the Royal Hotel.

There is no admittance charge to the Lecture at the Cable Station but as numbers are restricted please register here. Please note that there will be no parking available at the Cable Station.

Tickets for the Gala Dinner are priced at €60 and can be purchased here.
